Here comes a totally new Battlestar Galactica...again!  Director Bryan Singer’s “Battlestar Galactica” movie has its screenwriter, John Orloff. "Don’t worry, I’m not gonna frak it up" said Orloff in an interview. Orloff declined to elaborate on the project and would not specify whether the new film would update the original TV series or be a take off from Ronald Moore’s Battlestar!

Lana and Andy Wachowski, the writing and directing team behind "The Matrix" trilogy, are set to return to the science fiction world with an original project called "Jupiter Ascending". It is scheduled to start production next spring.

"Limitless" star Bradley Cooper is close to signing on to the role of superspy Napoleon Solo in Steven Soderbergh's update of "The Man From U.N.C.L.E."  The show, which focused on the fictitional United Network Command for Law Enforcement played on television in 1964-68 TV. No word if Soderbergh's U.N.C.L.E. will have an Illya Kuryakin.

Universal Pictures has signed Dan Trachtenberg to direct a sci-fi action heist film titled "Crime Of The Century". Not much is known about the project, however Deadline reports that the story "revolves around a high-octane heist with a science fiction twist."

Isaac Asimov’s work is getting a lot of attention lately. We just heard about "The Caves Of Steel" being developed and now there’s more news regarding Sony’s much anticipated "Foundation" adaptation directed by Roland Emmerich. Originally published as a short story series in 1942 before becoming a novel, "Foundation" is a story of a human dominated galaxy living under the rule of a Galactic Empire whose power is rapidly fading

The exhausted 2.7-ton German ROSAT satellite is slated to make a fiery, uncontrolled re-entry to our atmosphere sometime Saturday or Sunday (Oct. 22 or 23). Experts say the broken-up bits of ROSAT have a roughly 1-in-2,000 chance of hitting someone somewhere on Earth, though they won't know where until a few hours before it enters the atmosphere.
