NASA says it is trying to re-establish communication with its stuck Mars rover Spirit after months of silence as temperatures rise during the planet's spring. Spirit rover has been dormant since March 22, 2010, but mission controllers at the  Jet Propulsion Lab are hoping it survived the rough winter and will wake up any day now.

Ridley and Tony Scott have got a greenlight from Discovery's Science Channel to launch a show about sci-fi "creators" who predicted future discoveries. "Prophets of Science Fiction" will debut in the second half of this year.

"Caprica" star Eric Stoltz says that the recent demise of "Caprica" could be chalked up to the fact that "BSG" fans were never interested in the prequel series and didn't want it."I don't think [the show] was what the majority of "Battlestar" fans wanted," he says. "It probably would've served us all better to have not even been connected to it". Stoltz also revealed that there are elements from the series that he would have liked to have changed.

The nations first cybersecurity "Spy Center" has broken ground in Camp Williams, Utah.The 1.5 billion data center will address critical issues of national cybersecurity. Given the recent high-profile incidents including WikiLeaks, the Stuxnet worm and China's "Aurora" Project, The US government sees the Utah Data Center as a much needed component in the ongoing fight against cyber crime.
