OTHER NEWS
"Tron: Legacy" hit Blu-Ray and DVD yesterday. Among the extras on the disc, there is rumored to be a trailer for a third installment. While Disney hasn’t yet given the green light for a third Tron, director Joseph Kosinski is optimistic about the franchise’s future.“We laid enough groundwork in Legacy that there’s a lot of kind of jumping off points for additional places to go.If a third Tron does move forward, Kosniski wants to see the next movie push the boundaries a bit.

Will Smith and son Jaden are set to star together in a yet-unnamed science fiction film. The movie will be set 1,000 years in the future, where an estranged father and son find themselves on a deserted planet Earth after their spaceship crashes.

The Australian science fiction film "Crawlspace" is now being filmed in Melbourne. Crawlspace is a story about elite soldiers sent to infiltrate US military compound in Pine Gap when it was under attack. Justin Dix, the special effects make-up wizard for the filmsays "It's a thrilling combination of non-stop action with a smart sophisticated sci-fi story that we simply don't see enough of in this country,"

China’s censors are taking a hard line against science fiction time travel. Yes, it seems that time travel TV shows and movies have become increasingly popular in China, and regulators at the General Bureau of Radio, Film and Television are sick of them. They issued a declaration last week calling for a halt on all such dramas. A source for the Bureau says that the producers and writers are treating the serious history in a frivolous way, which should by no means be encouraged anymore
