OTHER NEWS
According to the European Union Times, disturbing news has been leaking out from Antartica. During April 2001 an ancient structure or apparatus, roughly 12,000 years old, that lay encased miles under the hard Antarctic ice was detected by a roving spy satellite. The US military immediately moved to quiet the reports and the mainstream news media complied. Despite the news blackout, reports still surfaced that a secretive excavation project had commenced.

Astronomers have discovered a whole new class of alien planet: a vast population of Jupiter-size worlds that float through space without any discernible host star. While some of these exoplanets could potentially be orbiting a star from very far away, the majority of them most likely have no parent star at all, scientists say and they likely outnumber "normal" alien planets with obvious parent stars by at least 50 percent, and they're nearly twice as common in our galaxy.

Lionsgate UK has acquired the sci-fi script "The Fallen", about an alien spaceship that crash lands in Russia. When it creates a 400-mile electronic dead-zone, international special ops teams are sent in to neutralize it. Ruairi Robinson will direct as shooting starts in early 2012.
