OTHER NEWS

Doctors and researches say "Avatar-Style" techniques could be used to save lives in near future. Putting humans into suspended animation, the stuff of science fiction movies such as Avatar, could arrive in emergency medicine sooner than you think.Dr. Richard Summers, chairman of emergency medicine at the University of Mississippi Medical Center says "It's slowly coming true"."It will be Star Trek before we know it."A step toward that day is already happening at Jackson-area hospitals that are using therapeutic hypothermia to slow down the metabolism of Mississippians who have suffered cardiac arrest, thereby increasing their chance of survival and reducing their chance of brain damage.

Could a fifth Indiana Jones movie be closer to becoming a reality than we believe?
According to actor Shia LaBeouf, a new Indy adventure could happen sooner rather than later. LaBeouf tells MTV News that he’s talked to Harrison Ford who says it's so and he does know that George Lucas has finished the script but is currently taking some time to mull it over before making it the final draft.

As if watching a movie wasn't fun enough! In the new film "Super 8" J.J. Abrams has announced that Leonard Nimoy is hidden somewhere within the film. In a recent online interview, Abrams stated that there are a number of hidden features in the movie, including the Star Trek actor. "Leonard Nimoy" is in the movie somewhere if you can find him" Abrams said.

Matt Damon and Jodie Foster will be spending much of the summer in Vancouver filming a new science fiction blockbuster by the director of District 9. Plot details are sparse but the film, called Elysium, is said to take place 100 years in the future and feature Foster as the head of an alien planet. Filming in B.C. is scheduled to run from July 25 to Sept. 27.

Disney has hired David DiGilio to write the sequel to a sequel, as the writer will create the next installment in the "Tron" series. While the movie opened to a less than stellar response, earning only $44 million in the first weekend of its release, it managed to pull in $400 million worldwide during its theatrical run, and additional revenue with sales of DVDs and Blu-rays.
